I discovered a love for writing during my junior year of college, while attending the University of North Texas. Once I developed a hidden desire for writing stories rather than paying attention to my professors, I knew becoming a writer was the career path I was meant to follow.
When I was finally ready to send off my first novel to agents I recieved many nos. And while that might have meant the end years ago, I knew I had a choice to make. Give up or find a way to make it happen. From there I knew my path going forward as a writer was going to be different than the traditional route. An independent path that still had obstacles until I was met with another opportunity that would help level the playing field.
And in 2017 I took the opportunity to extend my writing into something more groundbreaking. I launched Little Fish Publishing, ready to push my novels onto a platform that would allow me to keep creative freedom as a writer and simultaneously compete with the big guys of publishing.
I am proud to acquire the new hat as publisher in order to continue on with my own stories as well as help any writers looking to pursue the dream of seeing their novel in bookstores.
"Little Fish is proof that writers are living in a world of opportunity that wasn't there in the publishing world twenty years ago."
